How we made it?

This dress is crafted using Ukrainian satin-stitch embroidery. It has voluminous 3/4 length sleeves, 13 melange tassels and Zbiranka on the back. The dress was designed to fall fluidly over the body, it can also be fastened on the waist by the attached long embroidered belt. There are 2 side pockets.

We have used around 3 meters of high-quality linen and 3 thousand meters of embroidery thread to craft this garment. At first, the parts of the dress are getting embroidered and then assembled together by our craftsmen in Kyiv. Our embroidery patterns are made by local artists, each motif tells a story and conveys a worldly sentiment, making each garment truly unique.

In Ukrainian culture, Vyshyvanka has always had a significant spiritual meaning and each dress was passed on from mother to daughter. It is traditionally believed to ward off evil and keep the wearer safe from harm.
