Smereka Midi dress falls to below the knee. Crafted with traditional Ukrainian satin stitch embroidery, Richelieu technique and hand-cut appliquéd floral motifs. Voluminous bell sleeves with hand stitches adorning the neckline. The dress has a wrap-around silhouette. It comes with a belt. This dress features handmade "Zbiranka" which is a traditional handmade construction technique to gather the volume of the yoke. There are two side pockets.
We have used around 3 meters of high-quality linen and 3.5 thousand meters of embroidery thread to craft this garment. At first, the parts of the dress are getting embroidered and then assembled together by our craftsmen in Kiev. Our embroidery patterns are made by local artists, each motif tells a story and conveys a worldly sentiment, making each garment truly unique.
In Ukrainian culture, Vyshyvanka has always had a significant spiritual meaning and each dress was passed on from mother to daughter. Traditionally believe it is a mascot.
